Double Water Volcano

Double Water Drop Volcano as seen by Dennis Marciniak

_________

Probably the last time I'll be posting something from the Water Series for awhile. I loved how I got this double volcano - the timing and sizing of the two drops was perfect. I could never recreate the situation again afterward.

Black Water with Violent Splashes

High speed water drops formed from violent flicks as seen by Dennis Marciniak

__________

High speed photography of course, I have been experimenting with trying to create these water sculptures that only exist for about 1/20 000th of a second. Has been going pretty well - this as the others are still in a colour space and not in greyscale. In other news this is my 300th post on the website and close to my 400th image.

Waterdrop Aftermath in Black Water

The aftermath of a waterdrop hitting the surface of the water - shot by Dennis Marciniak

__________

Something I've been working on the past few weeks. This is one of the shots from the series that doesn't actually have water protruding from the surface. Shot in colour - kept in colour, this isn't a grayscale image.

Green Water Drop into Blue Water

A green waterdrop hitting the surface of some blue water as seen by Dennis Marciniak

__________

Working on a high speed series - this was one of the first test shots from the bunch. We're going classy BW predominately with hints of colour. Not to be confused with selective colouring though - the entire image will still contain colour information. Coming to a gallery near you.

Frozen Water Drop, Nov 2009
___________

I was interested in high speed photography and was trying to pull it off with a 580EX. It animated the water quite well.
