Looking through old files on my computer for inspiration I came across this project that never was completed. I'm working on it now - this is the first of the "reinterpreted" portraits.

The image was converted from a .tif to a HTML file - then to a .jpeg file. This is the result.

Self Portrait over Toronto Skyline

This will be the last self portrait for awhile. I realized a few months ago that I had no recent photos of myself so I decided to shoot more - now there's too many. I took this after I was done shooting the Fireworks and Smoke over Toronto timelapse as a joke and ended up loving the result. This is all one exposure - done in camera.

From now on you can check the EXIF on the image to find the time and date of the photo. I'm very strict with the time setting as it disorganizes my image library if I don't, so be assured it will always be correct. Also, I'm changing the post layout and am no longer adding the title underneath the image either. It's already at the top and doesn't need to be repeated twice.

Otherwise, expect more writing - sometimes I will go off on tangents, other times it will just be a description or story behind the image. There are also "plans" with regards to photography/video in the future - collaborating timelapses into a story, but that's all I'll mention for now.

I took this right when I woke up to map out my face for an "avatar". Unfortuently it didn't work, but at least this image was creepy enough to put up online. It reminded me of an H&M ad so I decided to replicate the weird contrast and sharpening they used in their white background advertisements from circa 2007.

This is from a shoot I did a while back some time in 2009; and yes we did find a way to hide the stand from view. I have no clue what I was doing here as this was a test shot. Maybe I trying to figure out the way the lighting was hitting me?

Clearly this was not shot by me, it was shot by my "G" while she accompanied me on my shooting adventures. I am going to be updating with a series over the next week while I get my post-university life together. It is an architecture series from the industrial landscapes of Toronto's West End.
